Heidenberg Branch

The above is a picture of me (kneeling, third from left) during my visit to the Branch of my friend and training partner Douglas Beard (kneeling, left).

The Branch is situated in Kammerstein, a small village not far from Nuremberg. The name 'Heidenberg' means 'Pagan Mountain' and is named after a local geographical feature.

I met Douglas when he came over to England a few years back, and trained at my Branch for three years. He was my embu partner in Japan in 1993 at the International Taikai.
